What Are We All About?
OUR BUSINESS
Vert-E-Grow is a full-service vertical farming business that offers high-quality organic food products from plots operated out of the vacant office and warehouse space in downtown Chicago and other cities. Vert-e-grow manages the planting, maintenance, and harvesting of the plots on a daily basis, both for its own company-owned plots as well as plots owned by outside investors. The company sells sustainable, eco-friendly crops through grocery stores including Whole-Foods, Kroger, and Trader-Joes.
WHY ARE WE DIFFERENT?
Relative to traditional farming we have to compete based on our eco-friendly nature, 100% organic foods, and superior freshness relative to food produced on farms hundreds of miles away. Relative to other vertical farming options we will compete on the basis of lower operating costs (taking advantage of now vacant office space and warehousing) as well as investment in new technology (such as high-efficiency solar panels) that will increase the efficiency of our operations and lower our costs. We will also establish strong retail relationships and marketing partnerships that will give us a basis for getting our products positioned with consumers.
